Alex Crommar is a fashion editorial photographer and director based in Paris.

Rejecting the sterile perfection of modern digital media and the “instant and quick” mindset of social networks, his practice is rooted in the discipline of traditional analog image-making, where his artistic DNA relies entirely on raw, handcrafted processes. Working exclusively with 35mm, medium format film and an old polaroid, he embraces spontaneity, imperfections and connections.

His work is a reflexion of what life seems to be. A beautiful dance of unscripted, high-contrast energy as well as the more subtle and introspective moments.

Alongside his commercial assignments, he is currently directing an ongoing personal documentary project chronicling the on and off-schedule lives of models from his close circle.
